Capacity Buy-Back Demand Announcement and Usage
Trading Hub Europe GmbH (THE) will announce the expected capacity buy-back demand on this page as well as the usage.
THE will determine the capacity buy-back demand in the form of a demand range and will only publish this demand here if the use of MBIs has not provided the capacities needed and there is still a demand.
The demand will be published no later than three and a half (3.5) hours before the start of the contract period. Market participants wishing to submit capacity buy-back bids may register to use the free messaging service on THE's website to ensure that they are made aware of the demand.
The bids accepted as part of the capacity buy-back process will be published on this page on the following day (D+1).
The information disclosed includes the capacity and duration of the balancing action as well as the costs for the accepted bids for capacity buy-back.
In addition, the aggregated costs for the respective year are published here.
The German transmission system operators and Trading Hub Europe publish a joint monitoring report on market-based instruments and capacity buy-back for each gas year, which is published here.
